Goodland, Kansas resident Iva Lorraine Scott, 87, died Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society in Goodland, Kansas.
She was born June 26, 1928, at Akron, Colorado, the daughter of Avis (Stoner) and Lyle Plumb. She graduated from Flagler High School with the class of 1945.
She and Robert Paul Scott were married August 21, 1957. Iva worked at Mountain Bell before becoming a homemaker. Iva and Paul lived in Yuma, Colorado, for ten years before moving to Goodland in September of 2015. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Yuma.
Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers
Surviving family includes her husband Paul Scott of Goodland; children Janice Mayhan of Fort Morgan, Colorado; Ronald Scott and his wife Margaret of Castle Rock, Colorado; Linda Enfield of Goodland; Danny Scott of Maricopa, Arizona; three sisters Zeta Deiser, Glennis Charles, and Mary Sweet; nine grandchildren Kimberly Rickerby, Jill Scott, Cynthia Horrocks, Nathan Scott, Sherry Hernandez, Michelle Hedgecoke, Shannon Thompson, Lori Enfield, and Lana Albright; thirteen great- grandchildren Matthew Perry, Amanda Kapferer, Anitrah Kelchner, Andrew Horrocks, Brayden Scott, Rylan Scott, Marley Scott, James Anderson, Levy Torrez, Kara Hedgecoke, Stran Thompson, Jaden Albright, and Silas Albright; two great-great- grandchildren Annabelle Bailey and Piper Kelchner
The funeral service will be Friday, June 17, at 10:00 AM MT, at Koons Chapel in Goodland, with burial following in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington, Colorado, with Pastor Dave McQuisten officiating.
Memorials may be designated to the Iva L. Scott Memorial, and may be left at the service, or mailed to Koons Funeral Home, 211 N. Main, Goodland, KS 67735-1555.
