Arleda was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Ray Walkins, twin sister Verneda Short, half-sister Marjory Long, half-brother Darold Short, and her aunts and uncles except Raymond Patton, who followed her shortly after.

She is survived by sister, Susan Short, brother, Harold Short (Jocelyn), stepsister, Dorothy Beckner (Bob), six nieces, two nephews and many cousins. Arleda is also survived by her family “adopted by love”, daughter Karina Plecker, granddaughter Letha Hougland (James), and grandsons Thaddeus Plecker (Mackenzie), Timothy Plecker, Kevin Plecker, and Izaak Plecker, and all her other “girls”. She will be missed by all.
